Mail Room
A downloadable game for Windows
A short little arcade game, made for Ludum Dare 42.
In Mail Room, you play as a mail room worker in a shrinking mail room, which is quickly filling up with mail. You must use the three mail chutes to send the mail to their corresponding recipients, matching the colour of the mail to the colour of the chutes.
Throughout the game there are various power-ups which will affect the gameplay in a variety of ways, giving you the potential to accumulate a much higher score. The game also has a built-in leaderboard, though this is file-based, and thus is not global. See if you can beat your own high score, or compete with your friends to achieve the highest score!
This is my first real project outside of school, and my first Ludum Dare game. I made it by myself, creating all of the assets, scripts, and sounds during the game jam, and, while it's not a particularly impressive game, I enjoyed making it, and hope you enjoy playing it!
The source files are also available, but they are incredibly messy and very cluttered with unnecessary or poorly formatted files. Proceed with caution. If you make any changes to the game, please let me know! It would be great to see what changes and improvements people have made on this project.
